cardboard castle construction

Me and dad built a box fort castle for our challenge.
Dad had boxes from work and i got string from the junk draw.
We cut the top with dads sharp knife and we used a drill for the handle to open and shut it.
It took a hour and a half to build and I want to sleep in it tonight!

Photos and video uploaded by Zephyr who had to teach his mum how to do it!

  1. that is a very cool castle that you guys have built, I love the door. Great thinking. Do you enjoying constructing things Zephyr? Now that you have made that maybe Jake might like to play in it? Unfortunately I could not get the video to play.

  2. Hi Zephyr
Your fort looks like a castle - how cool! It even has a drawbridge. It sounds like you were busy while you were building it, as it didn't take too long to make. I would want to sleep in it too. Is your fort going to be in your room or the lounge?

  3. Good job Zephyr and Dad . How long did it take ? Did you have a plan to go by or did you just make it up as you went? Good learning Mum.

  4. Wow Zephyr, this is amazing. It's so cool when your Dad helps you to build something. I loved watching the video, and good on you for showing Mum how to out the photos on your blog. I am wondering how your night went in the castle? Did you sleep like a King?

  5. Kia ora Zephyr,
Wow, your box fort castle is incredible! I can’t believe you have a door which can actually be pulled up and down. That was such a clever, ingenious idea, and you should be very proud of your efforts!
How did you come up with this idea?
Did it take long to execute?
    What materials did you use?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
I really like how you incorporated the spikes on the top of your castle, and think it is so cool how you are able to fit inside.
Do you think you will build extensions for your castle?
If so, what would you put in them?
    Would you do anything differently?
Thank you for including a video of your castle door in action, it was so awesome to see how it works!
